Industry Council for Small Business Development is the bridge connecting large, small and diverse companies in Silicon Valley and the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The Industry Council facilitates collaboration, leadership, education and procurement opportunities for the advancement and development of supplier excellence, as well as providing unique training and mentorship opportunities for small business owners and associates.
Established in 1986 as a non-profit corporation to promote the exchange of ideas, methods, experiences and general information among qualified individuals involved in the small business subcontracting program. Dedicated to promoting large business contract opportunities for Small Business (SB), Small Woman-Owned Business (SWOB), and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns, the support of small business was originally driven by compliance directives of the Small Business Administration, Executive Orders and Sections of the Public Laws. Today, many corporations support these efforts as part of smart business practices.
Industry Council facilitates and advocates business relationships between large, small and diverse businesses to promote commerce, procurement opportunities and educational development.
